This CLE provides guidance to GALs navigating the murky waters of when a child's wishes are contradictory to the child's best interest. The speaker will examine who the GAL represent and how to comply with the GAL standards, with particular emphasis on relating to young children and teens in foster care, under the jurisdiction of the juvenile court.
