Breakout 9B | GAL Workshop (qualifies for 1.0 GAL credit)

This is an applied learning session built to put your skill to the test; apply the objectives of other sessions at the conference, learn new practical tools, and collaborate with other professionals as the practicum takes new turns to challenge your thinking.

Learning objectives:

• This will include substantive guidance about effective interviewing, assess personal bias applied at the forefront of a case. 
• Groups will align facts from the case study with best interest factors and structure unique recommendations for the particular family needs. 
• This interactive case-study will throw twists and turns (just like real life?!): new significant others, medical or mental health diagnoses, conflict concerns, parent job loss, substitution of legal counsel or a professional in the case, resist/refuse, interpersonal violence, online education or homeschool, relocation, etc.
