PART 1
Kansas City immigration attorneys Andrea Martinez and Megan Galicia discuss the story behind the Netflix documentary, Living Undocumented, which featured their clients’ detention and deportation. Megan and Andrea use their clients’ real-life stories featured in the documentary as a jumping off point for a deeper dive into U.S. immigration law and the ‘survival challenges’ refugees must navigate to reach the U.S. and apply for asylum. Participants are encouraged to watch Living Undocumented on Netflix prior to the session.
