In the age of social media, celebrity status can materialize overnight. While this special status increases an influencer’s earning potential (opening the door to lucrative endorsement deals, marketing campaigns, licensing royalties, etc.), it can be volatile and ephemeral. This session will articulate some of the special issues that arise in the valuation of an influencer’s celebrity status, reputational goodwill, and the right of publicity in the context of divorce.
