Mental Health for the Family Law Practitioner

The practice of law is stressful.  Over the past five to ten years, there has been an increase in substance abuse, depression, suicide and other mental and physical issues.  The increase is even more acute when it comes to those attorneys who practice primarily family law.  Due to the nature and subject matter of the practice, family law practitioners are subject to stress and trauma over and above that experienced by attorneys in other areas of law. This program will help identify the issues that are unique to family law attorneys and provide some tools to recognize and deal with the additional stress.

Speakers: Seth A. Albin, Summers Compton Wells, LLC, St. Louis; and Amy Rebecca Johnson, Paule, Camazine & Blumenthal, PC, St. Louis
