Breakout Session 2 | Franchise law: It is more than a contract

This program will provide you with an understanding of franchise law and its complexities, including an insight into its intersection with trademark law. In particular, it will provide you with an understanding of the dynamic relationship involved in franchising that exists beyond the contract itself, as well as horror stories and cautionary tales to shed light on the complexities involved.

You will learn:

An understanding of what franchising is;
An understanding of trademark law and its intersection with franchising;
An understanding of the complexities surrounding franchises, including state law and Federal requirements
An understanding of the dangers of both franchising a business and buying a franchise.
