Lauren Collins is an associate with Sandberg Phoenix in St. Louis. She has a depth of experience with complex litigation. Previously she taught as an adjunct professor at Saint Louis University School of Law and was Assistant Circuit Attorney for the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office. Lauren earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Missouri – St. Louis. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri School of Law in Columbia.
Lauren is a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the Mound City Bar Association. She is a Council Member for The Missouri Bar Young Lawyers Section, an Associate with the Theodore McMillian American Inn of Court and part of the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. In 2018, Lauren was recognized as a Diversity and Inclusion Recipient from Missouri Lawyers Media.
She is licensed to practice in the states of Missouri and Illinois.
Whittney Dunn is a Risk Manager at The Bar Plan in St. Louis, Missouri where she presents CLE courses throughout the state and nation on ethics, professionalism, and malpractice avoidance. She also provides ethics guidance and practice management assistance to attorneys in Missouri and beyond through The Bar Plan Hotline.
A seasoned litigator, Mike has handled a broad range of litigation over the course of his career. He has represented numerous businesses and individuals in state and federal courts across the country. He defends clients in litigation involving commercial disputes and employment matters to high-exposure catastrophic injury and wrongful death.
Mike handles all phases of litigation including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, settlement negotiation, alternative dispute resolution, trial and appeal. He has first and second chair trial experience and has successfully tried cases to verdict throughout Missouri. Mike's appellate experience includes the Missouri Court of Appeals and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
A healthcare attorney and registered nurse, Tamar brings clients a 360-degree view of healthcare regulation. In addition to counseling clients on complex healthcare regulatory matters, Tamar’s experience includes nursing on medical-surgical and intensive care units at Level 1 trauma centers, coordinating risk management for a pediatric academic medical center and serving on hospital ethics committees. She understands healthcare regulatory law from all perspectives: drafting, implementation and enforcement. Her ability to navigate the legal alignment of patient care and compliance is comprehensive and unique.

Leland Shurin is a member of the Missouri, Kansas and Arizona Bar Associations. His practice has included representing individuals, charities, governmental agencies and small businesses, as well as Fortune 500 companies. His representation has included business matters and litigation both as plaintiffs and defendants. For the past 15 years his concentration has been as special master appointed by state and federal courts, as well as arbitrator, mediator and receiver.
Ryan Taylor graduated summa cum laude from the UMKC School of Law in 2010. During law school, Ryan worked for the US District Court for the Western District of Missouri. Ryan has worked for the Office of the Missouri Attorney General since 2010 in the Civil Division. Ryan has experience in a wide variety of civil litigation.
