Description

This presentation will start with an overview of 15 short stress busters. We will discuss recent research on lawyer well-being, focusing on 3 recent studies. We will cover key highlights of the 2015 ABA Commission on Lawyer Assistance Program/Hazelden Betty Ford survey, a 2020 survey of members of the California and DC Bars by Dr. Justin Anker and Patrick Krill and a results of a national survey on stress and well-being in the U.S. judiciary.

Anne Chambers is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Director of the Missouri Lawyers’ Assistance Program. Anne speaks about conquering procrastination, burnout and compassion fatigue, work-life balance and substance and mental health concerns in the legal profession. She lives in Columbia with her family, cat and backyard chickens.
