Description

This presentation will start with an overview of 15 short stress busters. We will discuss recent research on lawyer well-being, focusing on 3 recent studies. We will cover key highlights of the 2015 ABA Commission on Lawyer Assistance Program/Hazelden Betty Ford survey, a 2020 survey of members of the California and DC Bars by Dr. Justin Anker and Patrick Krill and a results of a national survey on stress and well-being in the U.S. judiciary.

Anne Chambers, LCSW serves as the Director of the Missouri Lawyers’ Assistance Program. She has significant experience working with people to address mental health and substance concerns.

Ms. Chambers has served as past president of the National Organization of Forensic Social Work, past chair of the National Association of Social Workers Legal Defense Fund Service Board, and past chair of the ABA Commission on Lawyer Assistance Programs Senior Lawyers Committee.

Ms. Chambers received her Master of Social Work degree from Louisiana State University in 1990. She has been licensed in clinical social work in Missouri since 1992. She lives with her family in Columbia.
