Circuit Court of Jackson County


Governor Jay Nixon appointed Charles H. “Chip” McKenzie as a circuit judge in June 2011.   He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Cardinal Newman College in 1985.  He obtained his law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 1988, where he served as the president of the Student Bar Association. 
 
Judge McKenzie was a shareholder in The Accurso Law Firm from 1993 until his appointment to the bench. Prior to that, he served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Jackson County, Missouri from 1988 through 1993, and served as a Trial Team Leader with the Sex Crimes Trial Team from 1991 through 1993.
