The discharge upgrade presentation will explain the process by which veterans apply for an upgrade of their military discharge. Effectively representing a veteran applying for a discharge requires knowledge of the military discharge process, military records, and the rules and regulations that govern how applications are made and decided. The presentation will cover these topics and will address recent policy changes by the Department of Defense that impact how the boards decide discharge upgrade applications. Finally, the presentation will offer advocacy tips that will improve the chances of prevailing in a discharge upgrade case.
