2025 The CLE CLE: Making the most out of mandatory professional education

Total Credits: 1.0 Self Study

Practice Area:
General Practice |  New Attorney

Description

Recording available after the original program date, 1/31/25

Sponsored by MoBarCLE and The Missouri Bar Young Lawyers' Section

Educational research agrees: hour-long sessions of passive listening that are not matched to professional goals are... less than ideal learning conditions for professional adults. This program encourages you to grab continuing legal education by the horns and turn it into the effective learning experience you deserve.

Takeaways include:

  • Understand the pros and cons of in-person/online, self-study/synchronous, and single webinar/conference CLE programs.
  • Strategize which CLE courses to take to target specific practice competencies.
  • Adopt learning tools to increase attention during programs and to reinforce what you learn over the next month.

Speaker: Cody Dickerson, CLE Attorney for The Missouri Bar, Jefferson City
