1:20-2:20 p.m. | Expert testimony: How bankruptcy attorneys can win (and lose) with expert witnesses
Regardless of what you might hear, bankruptcy courts do require evidence and sometimes that means that winning a case requires expert witness testimony! This session addresses issues and questions about using expert witnesses in bankruptcy courts in Missouri and helps attorneys evaluate potential solutions to the problems that experts can present.

  • Gain understanding of key rules and case law related to expert witnesses.
  • Learn about the considerations and practical problems with expert witness issues.
  • Address key issues including determining whether you need an expert witness, selecting an expert witness, negotiating expert retention, and presenting an expert witness in court.
