Originally presented on: May 29, 2019

A "Statement of Marital and Non-Marital Property and Debt" informs the Court of what assets and debts need to be divided and their worth. However, if done correctly, this form can save your client money, determine where the parties will have issues, and ensure you have the documents to support your position in settlement negotiations and before the Judge. Register and learn:

  •  How to properly fill out a Statement.
  •  What to include to avoid problems later in the case.
  •  Why starting early in your case can save your client money in the long run.
  •  Updating the Statement throughout the case.
  •  Valuing assets – methods and sources.
  •  How to use the Statement to spot areas of agreement and disagreement, formulate offers, and reach an equitable settlement.

Speaker: Jessica A. Wengronowitz, Fisher Law LLC, Kansas City
