MoBarCLE and The Young Lawyers’ Section present Coffee & Core Concepts – an early morning webinar series that will provide need-to-know information regarding core legal concepts.  Our experienced presenters will deliver practical, how-to instructions, updates on recent developments, and practical tips and advice in convenient one-hour seminars.

Originally presented on: July 31, 2019

Filing a trademark application is a deceptively simple process, however, the counsel of an experienced trademark attorney can save your clients time and money by ensuring that the trademark is substantively protectable, providing advice on the application and registration process, as well as proper trademark maintenance, usage, and potential enforcement concerns.

The presentation will cover:

  • Counseling clients regarding trademark issues
  • Applying for a trademark, including clearance searches, prosecuting an application, the registration process, and maintenance of the registration
  • How your client can protect and preserve their trademark rights
  • Trademark enforcement, procedures, and remedies

Speaker: Patrick J. Koncel, Shook, Hardy & Bacon LLP, Kansas City
