Newly Updated 6th Ed. 2021
Missouri is one of the few states that does not have an evidence code or stated rules of evidence. As a practical guide for Missouri lawyers and judges, Evidence Restated melds Missouri evidence law as it has developed in cases, statutes, and other authorities with the format and style of the Federal Rules of Evidence to provide practical materials in this vital area. For convenience, Evidence Restated is tabbed to correspond with the Federal Rules of Evidence, making it a ready reference for Missouri lawyers and judges.
Author Jeffrey B. Berman, UMKC Associate Dean and Professor of Law Emeritus, describes the purpose of the book, This deskbook is designed to make life easier for you as you anticipate or prepare for trial. It is intended for the young lawyer not schooled in Missouri evidence law, as well as for the seasoned trial lawyer looking for a quick refresher or an update on issues involving the law of evidence applicable in Missouri state courts.
