Litigating Nursing Home Negligence Cases: Practical Considerations of Filing, Discovery and Trial - 2018

Total Credits: 2.4 Self Study

Format:
Audio and Video

Description

There are approximately 46 million Americans, age 65 and over, with just over 1.8 million skilled nursing beds available in this country.  The rapid growth of the aging population will arguably result in placing stress on the quality of elder care delivered and an increase in litigation. Many attorneys involved in nursing home litigation mistakenly view these cases in a similar fashion to a medical malpractice claim.  A long-term care case differs greatly from a traditional medical malpractice action.  The purpose of this presentation is to assist the attorney by providing the rudimentary information necessary to help properly review nursing home claims and successfully move the case toward resolution.
