Amanda Burdick-Brown opened the Law Office of Amanda K. Brown, LLC in Springfield in 2016. She has gained a reputation as a caring yet resolute legal representative in matters of family law, estate planning and probate law, real estate, minor criminal defense, and employment law. She is also well-versed in the area of Indian law including Indian wills and the Indian Child Welfare Act.
Amanda worked as a two-year intern with Legal Services of Southern Missouri while completing her law degree. As a Rule 13 student, she was able to conduct high-level activities under the direct supervision of managing attorneys.
After graduating from law school, Amanda spent three years as a staff lawyer with Legal Services of Southern Missouri, representing clients in family law litigation, estate planning, and orders of protection. As a member of the Domestic Violence Unit, she gained extensive courtroom experience as well as experience with high conflict litigation and settlement techniques. She effectively collaborated with law enforcement, other advocates, and court staff in a 19-county service area.
Amanda attended law school at the Oklahoma City University School of Law. During her course of study, she also received a certificate in business law. She received the OKCU Legal Fellowship Award and served as the vice president of agricultural and environmental law.
Amanda is a graduate of Willard High School and spent her undergraduate years at Missouri State University in Springfield. She also spent a summer studying abroad in Marburg, Germany, leading to a certificate in European Union business and economics.
