Amy L. Young is an Administrative Law Judge for the Division of Workers’ Compensation in the Cape Girardeau office. Prior to her appointment on January 2, 2019 she was a partner at Bradshaw, Steele, Cochrane, Berens, & Billmeyer, L.C. in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and her primary area of practice was workers’ compensation law. Her law practice included both defending employers and insurance companies against claims for workers’ compensation and representing injured workers. Prior to joining Bradshaw, Steele, Cochrane, Berens, & Billmeyer L.C. in 2008, Judge Young was an associate at Atwill & Montgomery, LLC in Columbia, Missouri where her area of practice was exclusively focused on defending employers and insurance companies against claims for workers’ compensation. Before that, Judge Young served as an Assistant Attorney General at the Missouri Attorney General’s office in Jefferson City for the Division of Labor where she defended claims against the Second Injury Fund for permanent partial and permanent total disability, second job wage loss, and uninsured employers. She also defended the Central Accident Reporting office against claims for workers’ compensation.  Judge Young earned her J.D. in 2000 and her Bachelor in Social Work in 1997 both from the University of Missouri-Columbia.  She lives with her husband and seven year old son in her hometown of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
