Avram L. Sacks, is an attorney in private practice, concentrating on Social Security law and benefits. He is a former Assistant Regional Counsel for the Social Security Administration, past editor of the CCH Social Security Law Reporter, the author of two books on Social Security Law, and a founding member of the Special Needs Alliance advisory council. A member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives, Avram frequently lectures on Social Security matters across the country, represents claimants before the Social Security Administration and federal courts, and advises clients on how to maximize their Social Security retirement and survivor benefits through optimal claiming strategies.
