Judge Gary Lynch is a Senior Judge who retired from the Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District, in June 2022. He was appointed to the   Court of Appeals in 2006, and he was retained in 2008 and 2020. He served from 2003 to 2006 as associate circuit judge of Polk County in the 30th Judicial Circuit. Judge Lynch previously practiced law from 1977 to 2002 in Bolivar. Judge Lynch has chaired the Missouri Court Automation Committee fron 2015 to 2022. He was past president of the 30th Judicial Circuit Bar Association; past president of the Council of Chief Judges of the State Courts of Appeal; and a member of the board of directors of the National Center for State Courts. Judge Lynch received the Ahren's Excellence in Technological Advancements Award in 2017; the Chief Justice's Judicial Excellence Award - Appellate Judge in 2014; and the Missouri Bar President's Award in 2008. Judge Lynch earned his B.A. in mathematics and elementary education from Southwest Baptist University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri- Columbia. Judge Lynch was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, and is married with two adult sons.
