Karen Funkenbusch is the statewide director for the National Institute of Food and Agriculture, United States Department of Agriculture, North Central Farm and Ranch Stress Assistance Center in Missouri at the University of Missouri and is a committee member on the Governor’s U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (VA/SAMHSA) Governor’s Challenge to Prevent Suicide Among Service Members, Veterans and their Families. Karen is certified to teach Q.P.R. Gatekeeper training for suicide prevention, Communicating with Farmers Under Stress and Weathering the Storm in Agriculture: How to Cultivate a Productive Mindset. Funkenbusch has a Bachelor of Science in Education and Master of Arts in Guidance and Counseling from Truman State University.
