Circuit Judge Kate Schaefer is the Presiding Judge of the 5th Judicial Circuit. She currently presides over a variety of criminal and civil cases including domestic cases involving custody disputes. Prior to taking the bench, Judge Schaefer was an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney specializing in prosecuting crimes against children.
