Kirk C. Stange is the President and Founding Partner of Stange Law Firm, PC, a multi-state family law firm with offices in Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Iowa, Kentucky, Indiana, and Texas, with continued expansion into additional jurisdictions.
Mr. Stange is licensed to practice law in Missouri, Illinois, and Kansas. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri–Columbia.
Mr. Stange has been recognized by Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers Magazine for Family Law from 2015 to the present. He has also been named to Missouri Lawyers Media’s Power List for Family Law since 2020 and was included on the Top 100 Power List by Missouri Lawyers Media in 2025. In 2026, Mr. Stange was selected as a recipient of the Law Firm Leader Award by Missouri Lawyers Media.
Mr. Stange is also a published author. He wrote a chapter in Strategies for Military Family Law: Leading Lawyers on Navigating Family Law in the Armed Forces (Inside the Minds) through Thomson Reuters (Aspatore Publishing). He is the author of the full-length book Prenuptial Agreements Line by Line (Thomson Reuters/Aspatore, 2014). In 2015, he authored a chapter in Strategies for Illinois Family Law: Leading Lawyers on Leveraging Alternative Dispute Resolution, Negotiating Alimony and Child Support, and Managing Client Expectations (Inside the Minds).
In 2019, Mr. Stange was asked to co-author two chapters in the 2019 Cumulative Supplement to Missouri Law (7th ed.), including Chapter 13, “Adult Protection Orders and Child Protection Orders,” and Chapter 29, “Rights of the Unwed.” In 2022, he co-authored Chapter 10, “Child Abuse in the Domestic Case and Adult Protection Orders and Child Protection Orders,” in the Missouri Bar’s desk book.
