Annette Griggs practices plaintiff’s personal injury law with a primary focus on representing individuals with traumatic brain injuries, spinal injuries and dram shop cases. She started her own practice directly out of law school in 2001 and has been helping injured individuals since that time.
Annette was appointed by Governor Jay Nixon in 2016, was confirmed by the Missouri Senate, and currently serves on the Missouri Brain Injury Advisory Council. She is also on the board for the Brain Injury Association of Missouri’s (BIA-MO) and the Board of Governors for Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (MATA). She continues to serve as a mentor in the Denise Henning Connections program through the AWL-Foundation for many years. She served on the board of Association for Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City (AWL-KC) for 7 years and Hope Haven of Cass County, a women and children’s domestic/sexual violence shelter, for 4 years.
Her memberships include the Brain Injury Association of MO, Brain Injury Association of KS and Greater KC, North American Brain Injury Society (NABIS), American Association for Justice (AAJ) Traumatic Brain Injury Litigation Group, the American Bar Foundation (fellow), KCMBA, and Clay County Bar. She has been named as a Top 50 Kansas City Super Lawyers, Top 100 Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers, Top 50 Women Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers, and has been selected to the Super Lawyers list continuously for the past 9 years. She was selected by her peers as Best of the Bar for six years and is the recipient of several legal awards including the 2016 Missouri Lawyer’s Weekly Outstanding Mentor.
