Dr. Marcus Iszard PhD, P.I.

Dr. Marcus Iszard is an Associate Professor of Pharmacology at Kansas City University, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City and Joplin, Missouri. He is also a Consultant and a Licensed Private Drug Investigator. He provides consulting and investigation services for law enforcement agencies and private/corporate law firms for criminal or civil legal matters. Dr. Iszard received his Doctor of Philosophy (Pharmacology/Toxicology) from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida. He completed his fellowship at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Department of Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Therapeutics in Kansas City, Kansas.

Dr. Iszard is primarily trained as a pharmacologist and toxicologist. Dr. Iszard has professional experience in drugs, poisons, and medication investigations and forensic consultation. He has over 25 years of comprehensive teaching experience as a veteran professor in pharmacology, toxicology, and therapeutics for clinical, research, and investigation courses for pharmacy, medical, dental, and nursing students. He has over 20 years of investigative and forensic pharmacology/toxicology experience and teaching. He has testimony and legal deposition experience as a certified toxicology expert with state and federal court systems.

Dr. Iszard was awarded the Lawrence Ferring Faculty Award as Teacher of the Year in 2004 at Xavier University of Louisiana, College of Pharmacy, New Orleans, Louisiana. He is also a member of the Rho Chi Pharmacy National Honor Society.

Dr. Iszard is married and has two children. He enjoys ham radio in his spare time.
