Matt is a Manager in the Transaction Advisory and Litigation Support (TALS) Services practice at Brown Smith Wallace. He provides easy-to-understand analyses of clients’ complex situations through his commitment to service, efficiency and effective communication.

Matt provides business valuations, fraud and forensic accounting services, and litigation support services to clients in a wide array of industries. He has worked with Fortune 500 companies as well as closely held businesses and local governments. Matt works closely with staff to oversee several of the practice’s engagements.

Prior to joining Brown Smith Wallace, Matt began his career at a litigation consulting firm in Chicago, creating analyses for settlement, arbitration and litigation, with a focus on the construction, energy and telecommunications industries. He has also worked in the consulting practice of another CPA firm, performing valuation and litigation consulting services.

Matt holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation, and is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance, with high honors, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
