Mira Mdivani’s practice focuses on complex immigration matters, such as corporate immigration compliance, internal I-9 audits, defense of employers in DHS and DOL investigations triggered by allegations of immigration non-compliance, and implementation of employer talent acquisition strategy involving visas for international personnel.
Ms. Mdivani is a member of The Missouri Bar Board of Governors. She has served as chair of its Immigration Law Committee. and chair of the Kansas Bar Association’s Immigration Law Section. She has written books and articles on corporate immigration law, and has spoken on business immigration issues before lawyers and business leaders across the United States.
Ms. Mdivani’s professional work and leadership have been recognized by numerous awards, including The Missouri Bar President's Award, Association for Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City President's Award, Robert Gernon Award for Excellence in Continuous Legal Education, and pro bono recognition from the University of Missouri - Kansas City Law Foundation, the Kansas Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Ms. Mdivani's pro bono work includes representing survivors of domestic violence in applications before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
Ms. Mdivani received her J.D. from the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Law in 1999.
