Commissioner Sherrill L. Rosen was appointed Commissioner in 1994. She helped draft Missouri's adult abuse act and handled the constitutional challenge to it. She often served as a guardian ad litem. She received the KCMBA Moorhouse Dedication to Children award, and is a MOLW Women’s Justice Award winner.
