Tamara A. Veit received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law in 2004. She has been with the firm of McElligott Ewan & Hall, PC since 2005. She practices primarily in the area of family law for over 15 years. She frequently serves as Guardian ad Litem. She is a court-approved mediator for Jackson County.
Tamara is involved in numerous legal and community organizations. She is on the Executive Board for the Family Law Section in The Missouri Bar and is on the Family Law Conference Planning Committee. Furthermore, she is on the Board of Directors Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Foundation (KCMBF) and the Board of Directors for the CAPA (Child Abuse Prevention Association). She is also serving on the Board of Directors for the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (KCMBA) and is vice-chair for the CLE Committee for KCMBA. For KCMBF, Tamara served as co-chair for the Domestic Violence and Children’s Interdisciplinary Conference and part of the committee that created KCMBF’s newest program, the Student Law Academy (SLA), providing underprivileged urban high school students meaningful exposure to a career in the legal profession.
