Originally presented at the 2022 Annual Family Law Conference, Aug. 5-6, 2022.
Cryptocurrency continues to steadily worm its way into our economy. In just a few years, it went from being mocked as a speculative joke to being embraced by all of the world's largest and most respected financial institutions. As a still-new asset class, most people remain unfamiliar with what it is, how it works, and how it can be used to conceal assets in a divorce. This seminar will NOT be technical in nature, but rather will educate about the basics of cryptocurrency and the many ways it is, can, and will be involved in our courtrooms.
