This CLE will discuss common issues in housing discrimination, recent developments in the regulations governing housing discrimination laws, and identify ways to identify, address, and mitigate discrimination in housing.
The session provides an overview of federal and state laws which govern housing discrimination, including recent changes in the law, discusses the additional protections afforded to individuals with disabilities and the obligations of property owners to provide reasonable accommodations, discusses other practices that result in ethnic and racial housing discrimination, and offers recommendation for identifying, addressing, and mitigating discrimination in housing.
