Hon. Sue Crane

13th Judicial Circuit Court


Judge Crane is the Family Court Administrative Judge for the Thirteenth Circuit, presiding over various family, probate and criminal dockets. She is a graduate of Rock Bridge High School and the University of Missouri with a B.S. Animal Science and J.D. in 1989. She began practice as an assistant public defender and then engaged in private practice until elected in 2015.
Judge Crane currently serves as the chair of the Psychotropic Medication Advisory Committee (PMAC) for Missouri Children's Division and serves on the state's judiciary committee for Family Court. Her community involvement through the years includes various boards and committees including serving as a board member of Granny's House in Columbia, Mo which she still does. As part of this service, she founded and ran a program called Spirit Riders for the GH kids and other children prior to taking the bench. Judge Crane volunteers with Humanity for Children, working with communities in eastern Africa dealing with issues from health to human rights.
Judge Crane is happily married with a son, daughter and son in law, and grandchildren.
