Seth Albin is a member of the law firm of Summers Compton Wells, LLC, where he focuses his practice on the areas of Bankruptcy, including representing individuals and businesses, Creditor’s Rights, Family Law, Enforcement and Collection of Judgments Secured Transactions, Arbitration, and Litigation. Seth currently serves as a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Panel Trustee, a Chapter 12 Bankruptcy Panel Trustee and a Subchapter V Trustee for the Eastern District of Missouri as well as a panel arbitrator for United States Arbitration and Mediation. Seth has served as a Receiver, Special Master and as a Guardian Ad Litem in civil and domestic cases. Seth also volunteers for the St. Louis County Domestic Violence Court as a Special Prosecutor. Trained in interdisciplinary collaborative divorce as a financial neutral, Katherine is an educator, facilitator, and financial counselor for the family during collaborative divorce.
Susan E. Block, Attorney, Paule Camazine & Blumenthal, returned to the practice of law in 2004 after 25 years of judicial service in St. Louis County. She was one of the first judges to hear adult abuse cases in 1979.
She frequently represents petitioners and respondents in adult abuse hearings.
Martha Brown is a Certified Elder Law Attorney. Her firm, Mitchell, Brown & Associates concentrates on the unique legal needs of the elderly and individuals with disabilities. She is active in various committees and associations as well as receiving numerous awards for her work with the elderly and individuals with disabilities.
Jennifer practices primarily in the area of Family Law, including an extensive Guardian ad Litem and mediation emphases. After growing up in Blue Springs, Jennifer currently resides in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, with her husband and three children. While attending law school, Jennifer served as secretary of the UMKC Student Bar Association.
Prior to joining Oswald Roam & Rew LLC, Jennifer worked for over two years as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Michael W. Manners in the Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri. During her clerkship, she gained invaluable experience and knowledge in handling various dockets, specifically domestic, criminal, and civil rotations.
In her over 40 years of practice, Alisse Camazine has become one of the leading family law practitioners in the St. Louis area.
She has been listed in Best Lawyers in the area of Family Law since 1993. She became a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers in 1988 and has been certified as an arbitrator by the Academy. She received the Women’s Justice Award for Trial Practice from Lawyers Media in April 2009, recognizing women who have demonstrated leadership, integrity, service, sacrifice, and accomplishment in improving the quality of justice and furthering the highest ideals of the legal profession. She is ranked annually by St. Louis Magazine as one of St. Louis’s “Top Lawyers” for Family Law. Since 2005, she has been listed in Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers which, in 2018, named her one of the Top 10 Missouri & Kansas Lawyers. Super Lawyers has also designated her as one of St. Louis’s “Top Fifty Lawyers” and “Top Fifty Women Lawyers,” and she was voted Missouri’s best divorce attorney in a poll conducted by the legal newspaper Missouri Lawyers’ Weekly, in October, 2007. In 2010, she was selected as “Lawyer of the Year—Family Law” by Best Lawyers. Ms. Camazine, along with her long-time law partner Alan Freed, co-authored the book Divorce in Missouri, which was published in April 2009. She has co-authored many articles for legal journals and continuing legal education programs, including a chapter in the Missouri Bar Family Law desk book titled, “Enforcement of Judgments.” Ms. Camazine has lectured on a wide range of family law topics such as Property Division in Complex Dissolution Cases, Ethical Issues in Family Law, Psychological Testing in Custody Cases, and Ethical Issues for Psychologists in Custody Cases. She has co-authored many articles for legal journals and continuing legal education programs.
Ms. Camazine handles family law cases including division of complex property cases, spousal support, paternity and child support. She is well known for her handling of and complex child custody cases involving mental illness, addiction, sexual, physical, and emotional abuse, orders of protection and adult abuse orders motions to modify. Ms. Camazine is well known for her trial strategies and her expertise in the court room and handles lengthy, complicated custody and divorce matters.
Anne Chambers, LCSW serves as the Director of the Missouri Lawyers’ Assistance Program. She has significant experience working with people to address mental health and substance concerns.
Ms. Chambers has served as past president of the National Organization of Forensic Social Work, past chair of the National Association of Social Workers Legal Defense Fund Service Board, and past chair of the ABA Commission on Lawyer Assistance Programs Senior Lawyers Committee.
Ms. Chambers received her Master of Social Work degree from Louisiana State University in 1990. She has been licensed in clinical social work in Missouri since 1992. She lives with her family in Columbia.
Erin received her Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Philosophy from Missouri State University with honors in 2007. During Erin’s course of studies, she emphasized International Affairs and served as a student ambassador for the University in Dailian and Zhengzhou, China.
Upon graduating from Missouri State, Erin attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and earned her Juris Doctorate in 2010. While at the UMKC Law School, Erin received the school’s International, Comparative, and Foreign Law Area of Emphasis after successfully completing courses in International and EU Law at the University of Vienna, Austria, Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia, and Corvinus Egyetem in Budapest, Hungary. While at UMKC, Erin participated in the Law School's Guardian ad Litem clinic, representing children in domestic violence dockets in the 16th Judicial Circuit.
Erin is a member of The Missouri Bar, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association including the KCMBA Domestic Law Committee, the Eastern Jackson County Bar Association, and is a board member on the Juvenile Law Committee. Erin is admitted to practice in the Federal Western District Court of Missouri and also a Guardian ad Litem.
Hon. Margaret Donnelly was appointed circuit judge in August, 2016, by Gov. Jeremiah W. "Jay" Nixon. She was a St. Louis County Family Court commissioner from 2013 until her appointment as circuit judge.
Judge Donnelly holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Social Work degrees from Saint Louis University and graduated cum laude from Saint Louis University School of Law in 1988. From 1988 to 2009, she was engaged in the private practice of law. She served in the Missouri Legislature as a state representative for District 73 from 2003 to 2009 and was the Director of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services from 2009 to 2012.
Judge Donnelly has been honored for service by the Missouri Judicial Conference and Legal Services of Eastern Missouri. She received the Women's Justice Citizenship Award, St. Louis Children's Hospital Advocate of the Year award, and Paraquad Disability Rights Legislative Leadership Award. She is a member of the Missouri Bar, St. Louis County Bar Association, Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, Women Lawyers' Association and Mound City Bar Association.
Judge Donnelly lives in St. Louis County with her family.
Whittney Dunn is a professional responsibility attorney providing legal ethics and professional responsibility advice to the attorneys of Barnes & Thornburg LLP, an AmLaw 100 firm. Whittney previously served as Senior Risk Manager at The Bar Plan, where she gave ethics CLEs and provided guidance to insureds on practicing ethically.
Jimmy Fendelman has been a trial attorney for over twenty-five years. He speaks regularly on the topics of stress management and communications skills for teens, graduate students, and adults. He is known for his up-beat, high energy style.
Nicole is the founding member of the firm, Fisher Law LLC. Nicole focuses her practice on representing individuals in their family law litigation. She is passionate about representing real people in their most personal matters. Nicole is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Kansas.
Lara Webb Fors joined Public Knowledge® after serving for over 25 years in the IV-D child support program of Missouri in both county and state leadership roles. Lara received her BA from Central Methodist College and her J.D. from UMKC. She is a member of both the Missouri and Kansas Bars.
Simone Haberstock has been a family law attorney for 30 years and a mediator for 20 years. She acquired a Masters of Law in Dispute Resolution from University of Missouri School of Law in 2013 where she did IRB approved research on a mediation-arbitration process. Since graduating, she has founded a non-profit mediation service, Confluence Missouri, Inc.; served on the Mediation and Parenting Coordination Oversight Committee in St. Louis County Circuit Court; and worked on a number of court-connected ADR and problem-solving court projects across the state. She recently completed an interview research project of Missouri litigants who used mandatory mediation and has assisted in the production of two videos for the public on ADR processes. She has mediated over 400 cases including family, small business, employment, landlord-tenant, and small claims matters. Ms. Haberstock has spoken and presented on a variety mediation and ADR topics, including the decision- making process, at both national and statewide conferences. She also served on the Board of Governors for the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis for 10 years and is the immediate past-president of the Missouri Chapter of Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
Practicing law is Anika's second career. Before law school she was a licensed professional counselor. She worked in managed care and also did mental health assessments in a local hospital's emergency department. Her mental health background is extremely helpful in her GAL work.
Anika is also very interested in wellness and has served on the KCMBA's Wellness Committee for the past three years. She also started the wellness program at her current employer, Jackson County CASA. She has been a full-time GAL since 2017.
Josh Hutkins is the Wealth Planning Team Leader at Sandberg Phoenix. His focus is on estate planning, estate and probate administration, and business succession planning.
Additionally, Josh has extensive experience with complex and unique estate and trust administrations, guardianships and conservatorships, as well as prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.
Ryan Kaiser is a partner at Kaiser / Lawless, LLP, located in Kansas City, Missouri. His primary areas of practice are juvenile law and child custody issues. He previously worked as counsel for the Missouri Department of Social Services, Division of Legal Services. Presently, he contracts with the Department of Social Services, representing Children’s Division to achieve permanency for children in foster care across the state of Missouri. Ryan has successfully argued numerous cases before the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District on behalf the Jackson County Juvenile Officer. He is licensed in Missouri, Kansas, Washington & Guam.

Before attending law school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Lindsay taught for three years and worked as a staff member for two years with Teach for America. Due to her experience with Teach for America and her love and understanding for children, Lindsay is frequently appointed as a Guardian ad Litem, someone who will advocate for the best interest of a child in court.
Lindsay grew up in Kansas City and attended The University of Kansas where she received a degree in Spanish, Latin American Studies, and History. Today she lives in Kansas City, Missouri with her family.
Shawn McCarver received his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Central Missouri State University in May 1981, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in May 1984, where he was a Member of the Missouri Law Review and Secretary of the Student Bar Association.
Mr. McCarver practiced law from 1984 until December 31, 2010. He then served two terms as an Associate Circuit Judge from January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2018. After leaving the bench, he has resumed the private practice of law. While in private practice before becoming an associate circuit judge, he also served as attorney for the Juvenile Officer of the 24th Judicial Circuit from 1985 to 2002, and as a Public Defender for the counties of St. Francois, Ste. Genevieve and Washington from 1986-1987. He served as a Municipal Judge in the 24th Circuit from 1985 until 2010, serving the Cities of Park Hills (1985 to 2010), Desloge (1988 to 2010), Bismarck (1999 to 2010), Leadwood (2001 to 2010) and Bonne Terre (2003 to 2010).
Mr. McCarver authored the juvenile law chapter of the Trial Judge’s Benchbook, the Juvenile Officer Handbook, and he taught juvenile law to Missouri’s trial judges for 30 years, from 1988 to 2018. He has authored numerous articles and served on numerous Supreme Court committees including the committee that drafted the current Rules of Practice and Procedure in Juvenile Court, the Committee on Confidentiality of Juvenile Proceedings, and the Best Practices in Juvenile Court Committee. He also served as technical advisor and legal counsel to the Commission on Children’s Justice.
Mr. McCarver’s oldest daughter is an osteopathic physician (D.O.), and his youngest is in 8th grade. Mr. McCarver and his wife Julie, who is also a lawyer, their youngest daughter, three German Shepherd Dogs, and one rabbit, live in Farmington, Missouri, where Mr. McCarver and his wife practice law. The McCarvers are members of St. Joseph Catholic Church, as well as civic and service organizations.
Justin Mettlen joined the Missouri Attorney General’s Office in 2006. The majority of his practice revolves around representing the Missouri Department of Social Services, Family Support Division in IV-D cases. Justin has appeared for Family Support Division in the circuit courts of 36 Missouri counties as well as the Court of Appeals. He currently serves as Unit Leader for the assistant attorneys general in the Attorney General’s Child Support Unit in the Kansas City, Springfield, and Jefferson City offices. Justin is a graduate of the Washburn University School of Law.
Commissioner Mark J. Millsap was appointed by the 31st Circuit Court, en Banc, as Family Court Commissioner for Greene County Circuit Court, Family Court Division III, on November 23, 2020, effective February 1, 2021. Prior to taking the bench, Commissioner Millsap was a partner in the Springfield, Missouri law firm of Baird Lightner Millsap, PC., where he practiced family law for over thirty (30) years, in both trial and appellate courts in southwest Missouri. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri, magna cum laude, and the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, with distinction.
Andrea Pate is owner of Law Office of the Ozarks. She is a Family Mediator, qualified Parenting Coordinator and trained Collaborative Law attorney. Andrea recognizes ensuring the best interest of children often requires reducing conflict and learning how to function effectively as a family during and after the legal process.
Sam Phillips is Deputy Chief Counsel for the Missouri Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel. Sam has served on the Board of Directors of the National Organization of Bar Counsel and was that Board’s liaison to the ABA’s Lawyer Competence Committee.
In addition to attorney discipline and private practice, he has served as Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney and been the Executive Trust Officer for a regional bank.
He also chaired The Missouri Bar’s Law Practice Management Committee.
Craig D. Ritchie has practiced law for over 26 years. His practice is limited almost exclusively to family law matters. He graduated in 1989 from the University of Missouri Law School. In addition to his family law practice, Mr. Ritchie has taught Domestic Relations in the legal studies program at Missouri Western State College. Mr. Ritchie is also a frequent speaker to Continuing Legal Education classes for Missouri lawyers practicing family law. Mr. Ritchie resides in Columbia, Missouri. His interests include sports, children’s activities, church, and historic preservation. Mr. Ritchie serves on the executive committee and is the former Director of the American Legion Missouri Boys State, a program which teaches citizenship and government to high school seniors. For over thirty years, Mr. Ritchie has volunteered his time to this outstanding program.
Sherrill Roberts is the Family Court Commissioner for the 7th Judicial Circuit, Clay County, Missouri. She was appointed Commissioner in 2005. Prior to her appointment, Commissioner Roberts was in private practice focusing her practice in Family Law.
Commissioner Rosen was appointed in 1994. She helped to draft the adult abuse statute, and argued its constitutionality. She was often appointed as a GAL. She is a member of AAML.
She has given numerous professional presentations. She has been honored by KCMBA and Mo. Lawyer's Weekly for her service.
Patricia M. "Tricia" Scaglia is a solo practitioner in Independence primarily practicing in family law. She frequently serves as a guardian ad litem and mediator.
Tricia has served on The Missouri Bar Board of Governors since 2012. She is a past chair of the Family Law Section. Tricia was a recipient of the President's Award in 2016 and was the 2012 recipient of the Roger P. Krumm Family Law Award.
Tricia earned her Juris Doctor from University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 1997.
Arnie Shienvold is a psychologist who specializes in interventions with high conflict families. Arnie conducts custody evaluations, provides Parenting Coordination, Family Mediation and litigation support. He is a former president of AFCC and serves as Chairman on the task force revising the Model Standards for Comprehensive Custody Evaluations.
Laurie's spent twenty five years in private practice representing parents in family court in Kansas City, Missouri. Prior to private practice, Laurie was an AJO (Attorney for Juvenile Officer) & Assistant Prosecutor. Her bachelor’s degree is from the University of Missouri-Columbia and law degree from University of Missouri, Kansas City.
Larry V. Swall is a family law attorney, licensed in Kansas and Missouri, with offices in Overland Park and Liberty. His private practice is concentrated in areas of family law and domestic mediation. Practicing for over 30 years, Mr. Swall was twice honored by the Missouri Bar.
Brent Teichman is the Associate Circuit Judge in Johnson County, Missouri, having been elected to that position by voters in 2018. Prior to taking the bench, Judge Teichman was a solo practitioner for 17 years with a general practice focusing mainly on family law and adoptions. He received his Bachelor's Degree in History & Political Science from the University of Central Missouri in 1998; and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri in 2001. Judge Teichman lives in Warrensburg, Missouri, with his wife Molly and their 3 children.
Mikah Thompson is an Associate Professor at the UMKC School of Law. Her course load includes Civil Procedure, Evidence, and Race and the Law. Thompson frequently provides continuing legal education in the areas of employment law, ethics, and implicit bias. She earned her J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis.
Dr. Williger, currently retired from a private practice in St. Louis, MO, specialized in couples therapy, divorce and post-divorce therapy with children and adults. Currently she participates as a coach and child specialist in the collaborative divorce cases and is active in the St. Louis Collaborative Family Law Association.
After growing up in small farming community in Central Illinois, Molly attended Southern Illinois University, Carbondale where she graduated cum laude and received her Bachelor of Science and minor in Spanish. Molly then received her Juris Doctor from University of Missouri School of Law in 2014, and then became a licensed attorney after passing the Missouri Bar that same year. While in law school, Molly committed herself to helping families in need by participating in the Family Violence Clinic, which assisted families in the Columbia area with legal representation. She also served as an Editor of the Journal of Environmental and Sustainability Law.
After graduating law school, Molly moved to Hannibal, Missouri where she practiced family law, juvenile law, estate law and further, served as the city prosecutor. In 2017, Molly moved to Springfield, Missouri where she began representing families in their legal matters throughout Greene, Christian, Lawrence, Webster and Polk County. Molly was proud to join the law firm of Pratt & Grisham in 2019 where she handles divorce, custody, guardianship and adoption cases. She also acts as Guardian ad Litem for children involved in family law cases.
As a licensed foster parent, Molly is an advocate for children outside of work as well. She and her husband enjoy spending time serving their Church and community while raising their adorable children.
