The program will begin at 7:40, and end at approximately 5:45 p.m. There will be a break for lunch.

Erin received her Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Philosophy from Missouri State University with honors in 2007. During Erin’s course of studies, she emphasized International Affairs and served as a student ambassador for the University in Dailian and Zhengzhou, China.
Upon graduating from Missouri State, Erin attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and earned her Juris Doctorate in 2010. While at the UMKC Law School, Erin received the school’s International, Comparative, and Foreign Law Area of Emphasis after successfully completing courses in International and EU Law at the University of Vienna, Austria, Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia, and Corvinus Egyetem in Budapest, Hungary. While at UMKC, Erin participated in the Law School's Guardian ad Litem clinic, representing children in domestic violence dockets in the 16th Judicial Circuit.
Erin is a member of The Missouri Bar, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association including the KCMBA Domestic Law Committee, the Eastern Jackson County Bar Association, and is a board member on the Juvenile Law Committee.  Erin is admitted to practice in the Federal Western District Court of Missouri and also a Guardian ad Litem.

She graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia with her B.S.B.A., majoring in management, cum laude, with a general honors certificate in 2007. Casey served as Managing Editor of the Missouri Law Review in 2010-2011.
Casey practices primarily in the areas of corporate and business, estate planning, real estate, and health care law. Casey has significant experience assisting clients in general business matters including entity formation, structuring, and maintenance, shareholder agreements, employment contracts, contract review and negotiation, capital and loan structuring, real estate leases and purchases, physician contracts, employment issues, and health care law issues. Casey assists corporate clients by providing advice related to issues that come up in their businesses on a daily basis. Casey also works with individual clients to provide assistance in estate planning, real estate transactions, and debtor-creditor issues, among others.
Casey and her husband, Philip, are the proud parents of three small children, boy-girl twins and their younger sister. Casey is a business owner herself, as a co-owner of Columbia’s Just Between Friends children’s consignment sale.  She spends her free time cheering on the Missouri Tigers and staying involved in her local church.

John Kurtz received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1969, a master’s degree in criminology from the University of Pennsylvania in 1970, and a law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1976.  He worked as a law clerk for Judge Paul Vardeman of the Jackson County Circuit Court and then as an Assistant Public Defender for Jackson County from 1979 to 1981.   From 1981 through 1997, he worked at The Popham Law Firm where clients included plaintiffs and defendants in civil litigation, children and adults in family law matters, and some defendants in criminal cases.  He now works at Hubbard & Kurtz L.L.P. at 1718 Walnut in Kansas City.   He has tried 84 jury cases and argued 36 appellate cases.   The Missouri Bar has given him the Lon O. Purcell Professionalism Award.   In 1999, Jackson County, Missouri lawyers elected him to serve from 2000 through 2005 as a member of the 16th Judicial Circuit Nominating Commission.
