Erin received her Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Philosophy from Missouri State University with honors in 2007. During Erin’s course of studies, she emphasized International Affairs and served as a student ambassador for the University in Dailian and Zhengzhou, China.
Upon graduating from Missouri State, Erin attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and earned her Juris Doctorate in 2010. While at the UMKC Law School, Erin received the school’s International, Comparative, and Foreign Law Area of Emphasis after successfully completing courses in International and EU Law at the University of Vienna, Austria, Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia, and Corvinus Egyetem in Budapest, Hungary. While at UMKC, Erin participated in the Law School's Guardian ad Litem clinic, representing children in domestic violence dockets in the 16th Judicial Circuit.
Erin is a member of The Missouri Bar, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association including the KCMBA Domestic Law Committee, the Eastern Jackson County Bar Association, and is a board member on the Juvenile Law Committee. Erin is admitted to practice in the Federal Western District Court of Missouri and also a Guardian ad Litem.
Casey E. Elliott joined the firm as an associate in 2011 and became a shareholder in 2015. She received her J.D. and M.B.A. from the University of Missouri – Columbia in 2011. She graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia with her B.S.B.A., majoring in management, cum laude, with a general honors certificate in 2007. Casey served as Managing Editor of the Missouri Law Review in 2010-2011.
Casey practices primarily in the areas of corporate and business, estate planning, real estate, and health care law. Casey has significant experience assisting clients in general business matters including entity formation, structuring, and maintenance, shareholder agreements, employment contracts, contract review and negotiation, capital and loan structuring, real estate leases and purchases, physician contracts, employment issues, and health care law issues. Casey assists corporate clients by providing advice related to issues that come up in their businesses on a daily basis. Casey also works with individual clients to provide assistance in estate planning, real estate transactions, and debtor-creditor issues, among others.
Casey and her husband, Philip, are the proud parents of three small children, boy-girl twins and their younger sister. Casey is a business owner herself, as a co-owner of Columbia’s Just Between Friends children’s consignment sale. She spends her free time cheering on the Missouri Tigers and staying involved in her local church.
Allison Evans Gottschalk's career began as a law clerk at Becker & House PLLC, a boutique trust and estate firm located in Scottsdale, Arizona. Upon passing the bar exam, Allison became a full-time associate and spent the next ten years practicing in the fields of trust, estate and fiduciary litigation, with an emphasis on cases involving will contests and financial exploitation. Allison joined Kembell Woods & Martinsen LLP in 2020 after moving back to her hometown of Kansas City, Missouri, where she has continued to develop her practice as a trust and estate litigator.
Heather M. Hall began her legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable Kathleen Forsyth in the Jackson County probate court. Following her clerkship, Heather gained valuable trial experience at the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office.
In private practice, she has focused on fiduciary litigation, probate/trust administration and guardianships/conservatorships.
James R. Hobbs has extensive experience in both civil and criminal cases with particular emphasis in white collar criminal defense work. He has tried cases in areas such as criminal enforcement of environmental laws, defense of health care prosecutions, representation of individuals and corporations charged with business crimes, and defense of political corruption prosecutions. Mr. Hobbs has also represented individuals charged with violent offenses and sexual assault cases. His practice also involves grand jury representation and pretrial representation of individuals and corporations under investigation for criminal conduct. Mr. Hobbs is the recipient of numerous awards, and he has served on many boards of organizations advocating for criminal defendants.
Kevin M. Johnson is a Practicing Partner with the firm, and he has practiced with Wallace Saunders since 2002. He earned his undergraduate degree summa cum laude in 1998 from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and his law degree in 2001 from the University of Missouri at Columbia School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in Missouri, Kansas, and Illinois, and his practice focus is on workers’ compensation and employment litigation.
Camber Jones is a member of the Spencer Fane’s Banking and Financial Services Group and has experience representing debtors and creditors in bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings in multiple jurisdictions, including, initiating and defending adversary proceedings, investigating and conducting large-scale claims reconciliations, negotiating settlements, and negotiating, drafting, and reviewing commercial contracts.
Camber also represents her clients in non-bankruptcy insolvency proceedings, such as receiverships, out of court workouts and restructurings, and other related insolvency matters. Camber has been recognized as a member of ABI's 2024 40 Under 40 Class and as one of the Springfield Business Journal's 2025 Most Influential Women.
John Kurtz received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1969, a master’s degree in criminology from the University of Pennsylvania in 1970, and a law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1976. He worked as a law clerk for Judge Paul Vardeman of the Jackson County Circuit Court and then as an Assistant Public Defender for Jackson County from 1979 to 1981. From 1981 through 1997, he worked at The Popham Law Firm where clients included plaintiffs and defendants in civil litigation, children and adults in family law matters, and some defendants in criminal cases. He now works at Hubbard & Kurtz L.L.P. at 1718 Walnut in Kansas City. He has tried 84 jury cases and argued 36 appellate cases. The Missouri Bar has given him the Lon O. Hocker Memorial Trial Lawyer Award, the Pro Bono Lawyer Award, the H. Michael Coburn Community Service Award, the Tom Cochran Community Service Award, the Spurgeon Smithson Award, and the Martin J. Purcell Professionalism Award. In 1999, Jackson County, Missouri lawyers elected him to serve from 2000 through 2005 as a member of the 16th Judicial Circuit Nominating Commission.
Marc A. Lapp is a Special Representative with the OCDC and regularly practices before the Disciplinary Hearing Committee and the Supreme Court of Missouri. In addition, Marc is the Director of Quality Assurance, Ethics, and Training for Nationwide Insurance Trial Division.
Anthony Laramore represents clients in personal injury, medical malpractice and civil rights cases. Anthony has been recognized by The National Trial Lawyers, Super Lawyers, and other organizations. Anthony has successfully recovered millions of dollars for his clients. Anthony enjoys spending time with his children, coaching, and is an avid KC Chiefs fan.
William C. Love is a partner with the law firm of Hyde, Love & Overby practicing in the areas of Medical Malpractice, Appellate Law, Workers’ Compensation and General Litigation. He is admitted to practice in Missouri and the U.S. Western District of Missouri, 8th Circuit Court of Appeals and US Supreme Court. He earned his J.D. from the University of Missouri School of Law. He was recognized for appellate advocacy as a recipient of the David J. Dixon Appellate Advocacy Award from the Missouri Bar. He is also a long time High School Football referee.
John M. Lynch is an attorney in St. Louis, who also serves as a legal commentator for a host of news/media outlets across the country. Presently, he concentrates in areas of federal law, civil litigation, criminal defense and personal injury.
Patrick J. Platter is a partner with the law firm of Neale & Newman, L.L.P. of Springfield, Missouri. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with undergraduate and law degrees. He specializes in workers’ compensation law, local government law, administrative law, and employment law. He has tried hundreds of workers’ compensation claims before the Division of Workers’ Compensation and appeals before the Labor and Industrial Relations Commission and appellate courts. His appeals in workers’ compensation claims have spanned a wide range of subject in The Workers’ Compensation Law. Mr. Platter is a certified mediator under Rule 17. He is a member of the Mo Bar Fee Dispute Resolution Committee. He is published in the Journal of the Missouri Bar and speaks to many professional and trade organizations in workers’ compensation and employment law. He is recognized in Super Lawyers® in workers’ compensation law and The Best Lawyers of America© in local government law.
William M. Quitmeier is the President of the Quitmeier Law Firm, P.C. He has degrees of BA in Economics and Juris Doctor (Law) from the University of Kansas. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri and Kansas, and is a licensed Missouri Real Esate Broker. He was mayor of the City of Parkville from 1991-2002 and an alderman from 1986-1991. He is a past U.S. District Court Arbiter. He was a founder the Platte Land Trust, dedicated to preserving land for parks.
Timothy C. Sansone is a partner at the law firm of Sandberg Phoenix & von Gontard P.C., where he has worked for over 20 years. He is a graduate of Chaminade College Preparatory School, attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, received his bachelor’s degree in political science with college honors at Washington University in St. Louis, and received his juris doctor degree, magna cum laude, from Saint Louis University School of Law.
Tim started his legal career as a law clerk for Judge Paul Simon at the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District. He then worked as an associate at Ziercher & Hocker P.C., which merged with what was then known as Husch & Eppenberger, LLC before he joined Sandberg Phoenix.
At Sandberg Phoenix, he is the founder and leader of his firm’s Appellate and Complex Litigation Team. He also serves as Chair of Professional Development, and is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation Practice Group and Product Liability Practice Group.
In addition, he is co-chair of The Missouri Bar’s Appellate Practice Committee, and has been named to Missouri Lawyers Media’s POWER LIST of the top 30 appellate attorneys in Missouri.
Andy Scholz is a Springfield, Missouri native. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Drury University in 1994 and attended law school at the University of Missouri-Columbia. During law school, he was honored to be an associate member of the Missouri Environmental Law & Policy Review. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree in 2001. In 2005, he became an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Boone County, Missouri. While there, he prosecuted sexual crimes and people accused of having perpetrated physical abuse against children. In 2010, Andy and his family chose to move back home to Springfield, where he could work to serve fellow Southwest Missourians by focusing his practice as a family law attorney. To continue his desire to assist families, he joined Rooney McBride and Smith in 2019, where he focuses on family law, guardianship law, and civil litigation.
Paige Sparks is a trial attorney based in Washington, Missouri, with a robust practice in employment law and other civil litigation. She is dedicated to advocating for individuals who have been wrongfully terminated or have experienced workplace violations under state and federal law. Paige has successfully represented clients in both state and federal courts, securing favorable outcomes for those facing unlawful employment actions.

Kevin Spear is a partner at the Van Camp Law Firm. Kevin graduated from the St. Louis University School of Law in the top 30% of his class after receiving undergraduate degrees from Drake University. While in law school, Kevin worked in the Legal Clinic and litigated cases before the Missouri Court of Appeals. He also clerked for Circuit Court Judge Jon Beetem and Judge Paul Wilson, now a justice on the Missouri Supreme Court. Upon graduating law school, Kevin worked as Enforcement Counsel for the Missouri Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions, and Professional Registration, gaining experience working with insurance companies and handling administrative law matters. Kevin joined the Van Camp Law Firm in 2013 and represents clients in workers’ compensation matters at hearings and dockets throughout Missouri. Kevin is a member of the Missouri Bar, Cole County Bar Association and Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys.
Kirk Stange is the President of Stange Law Firm, PC. Stange Law Firm, PC is a multi-state family law firm with offices in Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Nebraska. Mr. Stange is licensed in Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. Mr. Stange received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers Magazine selected Mr. Stange to the list of Super Lawyers for Family Law from 2015 to the present. Previously, Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers Magazine selected Mr. Stange to the list of Rising Stars for Family Law in 2013 and 2014. Mr. Stange is an adjunct professor at Emory University School of Law. Mr. Stange is the President of the Missouri Collaborative Institute. Mr. Stange is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education seminars. In 2014, Mr. Stange presented at the 8th Circuit Judicial Conference in Omaha, Nebraska on social media evidence for lawyers and judges. Mr. Stange released a full-length book through Thomson Reuters (Aspatore Publishing) in 2014 titled: "Prenuptial Agreements Line by Line." In 2015, Mr. Stange authored another chapter in a book through Thomson Reuters (Aspatore Published) titled: “Strategies for Illinois Family Law: Leading Lawyers on Leveraging Alternative Dispute Resolution, Negotiating Alimony and Child Support, and Managing Client Expectations (Inside the Minds).” In 2019, Kirk was asked to co-author two chapters in the 2019 Cumulative Supplement to Chapter 13 “Adult Protection Orders and Child Protecting Order” and the 2019 Cumulative Supplement to Chapter 29 “Rights of the Unwed,” in Missouri Law (7th ed.) published by the Missouri Bar. In 2022, Kirk co-authored the following chapter in the Missouri Bar’s desk book: “Chapter 10, Child Abuse in the Domestic Case and Adult Protection Orders and Child Protection Orders.”
James Wyrsch received his BA in 1963 from University of Notre Dame, JD in 1966 from Georgetown University, and LLM in trial practice in 1972 from UMKC. He is a co-author with Judge Anthony Nugent and Susan Hunt of “Missouri Criminal Trial Practice,” Harrison Law Book Company, 1994.
