Hon. Broniec was appointed to the Missouri Court of Appeals in October 2020. She was appointed in August 2006 as Associate Circuit Judge for Montgomery County and re-elected in 2010, 2014 and 2018. Prior to that, she was Prosecuting Attorney of Montgomery County from 1999-2006; Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, Lincoln County, Missouri from 1998-1999; Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, Warren County from 1996-1998 and in private practice with the Law Office of Michael S. Wright from 1996-1998.
Hon. Broniec received her J.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia and her B.A., Business Administration, summa cum laude, from William Woods College. She is a member of The Missouri Bar, Missouri Juvenile Justice Association and Missouri Association of Probate and Associate Circuit Judges. Her civil and charitable activities include the Montgomery City Kiwanis Club, Montgomery City Chamber of Commerce and the Church Council, Grace Lutheran Church.

Jenny has been State Certified for 25 years and working in the industry for 31 years. Kevin Chafin is a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 20 years experience with the Family and Domestic Court systems and the Missouri Children’s Division. He provides mediation and counseling services and has done so for more than 15 years and specializes in individual adults, adolescents, and children; co-parenting counseling; mediation and reunification counseling. Kevin has a Masters in Counseling degree from Webster University in Kansas City. Before becoming a counselor, he worked as a child abuse/neglect investigator for the Missouri Children’s Division, legal assistant to the attorneys at Family Court in Kansas City, and non-profit program director.
Anne Chambers, LCSW serves as the Director of the Missouri Lawyers’ Assistance Program. She has significant experience working with people to address mental health and substance concerns.
Ms. Chambers has served as past president of the National Organization of Forensic Social Work, past chair of the National Association of Social Workers Legal Defense Fund Service Board, and past chair of the ABA Commission on Lawyer Assistance Programs Senior Lawyers Committee.
Ms. Chambers received her Master of Social Work degree from Louisiana State University in 1990. She has been licensed in clinical social work in Missouri since 1992. She lives with her family in Columbia.
Jason D. Dodson was appointed circuit judge on January 31, 2020 by Governor Mike Parson. He previously served as an associate circuit judge following his appointment in 2016 by Governor Jeremiah W. "Jay" Nixon.
Presiding Judge Mary Ott appointed Judge Dodson to the position of Administrative Judge of the Family Court of St. Louis County, and his 4-year term began January 1, 2022. The Family Court consists of four Juvenile Divisions and ten Domestic Relations Divisions. It also includes the Domestic Violence Court which the U.S. Department of Justice currently recognizes as a national model to serve as a mentor court. Judge Dodson presides over cases in juvenile court and a domestic violence contempt docket.
Judge Dodson is now in his second term of service on the Missouri Supreme Court's Family Court Committee. He also a member of the Supreme Court's Committee on Access to Family Courts and has been a member of the standing Child Support Guidelines Review Subcommittee for over ten years. He serves of the board of directors for the St. Louis Bar Foundation and belongs to several legal associations including the Missouri Bar, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis ("BAMSL"), the St. Louis County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
Judge Dodson received his Bachelor of Arts with honors in philosophy from Bates College in Lewiston, ME, in 1992, and his law degree from Washington University School of Law in 1996, where he received The Order of Barristers and Pro Bono Bronze Medal commendations.
Judge Dodson lives in St. Louis County with his family.
Commissioner Lisa M. Dubé was appointed by the judges of the 16th Judicial Circuit as Family Court Commissioner in September 2020. Commissioner Dubé presides over a contested domestic docket, which includes dissolution of marriage actions, paternity actions, modifications, private and State filed contempt actions, and family access motions.
Kathryn L. Dudley is a principal attorney with the law firm of Paule Camazine & Blumenthal, P.C. She graduated magna cum laude from Missouri State University in 1990, and received her J.D. degree from the Washington University School of Law in 1993. Ms. Dudley’s practice primarily involves domestic relations and family law matters including complex custody and financial cases. She is a certified Guardian ad Litem for family law and probate cases.
Ms. Dudley is the author of the chapter on Child Abuse in Domestic Cases, The Missouri Bar Family Law Continuing Legal Education Casebook (7th Edition), as well as the supplements to this chapter. In 2008, she was named a “Rising Star” by the Missouri-Kansas Super Lawyers Publication and has attained the Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent Rating. In 2020, Ms. Dudley received a Missouri Lawyer Weekly Women’s Justice Award for Litigation.
Ms. Dudley is a Past President of the Board for Lawyers for Kids and is a member of the Missouri Bar, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, and the St. Charles County Bar. In the community, Ms. Dudley is an Endowment Board Member for United Services.

Alan Freed has practiced of family law for over 40 years. He has been named a St. Louis Lawyer of the Year six times since 2013 and in 2016 received the Roger P. Krumm Family Law Award from the Missouri Bar. Freed is co-author of the book "Divorce in Missouri."
Melissa Gragg is a mediator and business valuation expert in St. Louis. She specializes in high net worth divorces with complex financial situations including the valuation of businesses, pensions, retirement accounts, tracing separate and marital assets as well as negotiating the property split. She is a certified divorce financial analyst (CDFA) and certified valuation analyst (CVA) with 20 years of experience valuing over 1,000 businesses of all sizes for divorce, partner disputes, lost wages and other litigated and mediated matters. Melissa has been designated an expert in Federal and State Court and testified in over 50 litigated matters.
Since receiving her JD from The University of Texas School of Law and her law license in 2001, Erica Grigg has gained work experience as a criminal prosecutor; general counsel in the Texas Legislature; Special Assistant to the Chancellor of Texas Tech University; and as a personal injury, civil rights, and wrongful death litigator at Spivey & Grigg, LLP. She has appeared on HLN and CNN for commentary regarding her involvement in high-profile civil rights cases. Erica is presently pursuing a master’s in Clinical Mental Health, expected in 2022. She is currently Director at the Texas Lawyers’ Assistance Program where she helps connect judges, lawyers, and law students to the mental health and substance abuse recovery resources they need. Erica attended the 2018 Academy Awards for her role as plaintiff’s counsel in an Oscar nominated HBO short documentary, Traffic Stop
Simone Haberstock has been a family law attorney for 30 years and a mediator for 20 years. She acquired a Masters of Law in Dispute Resolution from University of Missouri School of Law in 2013 where she did IRB approved research on a mediation-arbitration process. Since graduating, she has founded a non-profit mediation service, Confluence Missouri, Inc.; served on the Mediation and Parenting Coordination Oversight Committee in St. Louis County Circuit Court; and worked on a number of court-connected ADR and problem-solving court projects across the state. She recently completed an interview research project of Missouri litigants who used mandatory mediation and has assisted in the production of two videos for the public on ADR processes. She has mediated over 400 cases including family, small business, employment, landlord-tenant, and small claims matters. Ms. Haberstock has spoken and presented on a variety mediation and ADR topics, including the decision- making process, at both national and statewide conferences. She also served on the Board of Governors for the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis for 10 years and is the immediate past-president of the Missouri Chapter of Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
Dr. Hasler is a licensed clinical psychologist and the Director of CABH, Inc., a private practice, in St. Louis that specializes in assessment and intervention services for youth and families. She works with children and teens with LGBTQIA+ identities and helps their families best understand how to support their children.
Brett Heintz entered the Real Estate Sales industry 9 years ago after retiring as an executive with O’Reilly Auto Parts. His tenure with O’Reilly was 32 years. Since the 1990’s Brett and his wife have invested in Residential Real Estate and small business. After the O’Reilly retirement it only made sense to become a licensed Realtor. Brett works in both the Residential and Commercial sectors of the business. The experiences garnered from his father’s contracting business, real estate investing and business overall help him provide insight to clients from many perspectives as well as facilitating the real estate transaction itself. Brett has two children, two grandchildren and enjoys boating, camping, collecting antiques and of course...rehabbing real estate.

The Honorable Susan S. Jensen practiced family law in Springfield before being appointed as Family Court Commissioner, Division II, for Greene County in 2016. She is a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Commissioner Jensen graduated from William Jewell College and the University of Iowa College Of Law.
Ms. Johnson practices family law: divorce, child custody, paternity and adoption. Prior to joining Paule, Camazine & Blumenthal, P.C., Ms. Johnson ran a successful solo law practice after graduating from Saint Louis University School of Law. It was during her solo practice that she recognized that assisting clients through the difficult times of family law cases drove her passion for the practice of law. M. Brad Palmore, Ph.D. (candidate), is a family court conflict resolution professional, a mediator, a mediator coach and trainer, and an organizational consultant. In family court, Brad serves as a Domestic Relations Officer for the 31st Judicial Circuit in the State of Missouri, which includes mediating family law cases, educating litigants in the advantages of using ADR to resolve cases, and direct coaching with high-conflict co-parents. As a mediator, Brad focuses on family and civil mediation and is currently mediating landlord/tenant cases in the City of St. Louis in partnership with the Conflict Resolution Center – St. Louis. As a mediation coach, Brad has trained hundreds of mediators from across the world through partnerships with dispute resolution centers and universities in Texas, New York, Florida, and Missouri and has taught mediation and negotiation graduate level courses with several universities. Brad’s organizational consulting focuses on churches and church conflict, blending his conflict resolution experience with his experience as a pastor for 12 years. Brad holds a graduate certificate in Conflict Resolution and a master’s degree in Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation, both from Abilene Christian University. Brad is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Conflict Analysis and Resolution at Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. Polak holds a Master of Social Work degree and a PhD from the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto. She is a registered social worker and has been awarded the designation of accredited family mediation (Acc.FM) by the Ontario Association for Family Mediation. Her mediation/negotiation training has included Harvard Law School’s Negotiation and Leadership Program.
Dr. Polak’s private practice provides specialized services related to families impacted by separation and divorce including: parenting plan evaluation (S.30 assessments), family mediation, reintegration therapy, voice of the child reports, parenting coordination, and therapeutic services for children and families impacted by divorce.
Her doctoral research focused on the practice of reintegration therapy for children who resist parental contact post-separation. She has published in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters on topics related to separated/divorced families involved with the court system. She is a frequent presenter at national and international professional and academic conferences in the area of high conflict separation/divorce and parent-child contact problems. Dr. Polak is a past speaker at the Family Law Summit, the Six Minute Family Law Lawyer, and the Association for Family and Conciliation Courts.
Dr. Polak was the recipient of the Nicolas Bala Award for Excellence in Children & Family Law in October 2016. She is a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers, Ontario Association of Social Workers, Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, and the Ontario Association of Family Mediators. She is Past President of the Board of Directors for the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, Ontario Chapter.
Craig D. Ritchie has practiced law for over 26 years. His practice is limited almost exclusively to family law matters. He graduated in 1989 from the University of Missouri Law School. In addition to his family law practice, Mr. Ritchie has taught Domestic Relations in the legal studies program at Missouri Western State College. Mr. Ritchie is also a frequent speaker to Continuing Legal Education classes for Missouri lawyers practicing family law. Mr. Ritchie resides in Columbia, Missouri. His interests include sports, children’s activities, church, and historic preservation. Mr. Ritchie serves on the executive committee and is the former Director of the American Legion Missouri Boys State, a program which teaches citizenship and government to high school seniors. For over thirty years, Mr. Ritchie has volunteered his time to this outstanding program.
Anita Rodarte is the current President of Missouri Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) and Past President of the AAML Foundation (2016-2017). She has practiced Family Law in the Kansas City metropolitan area since 1984 and is a frequent lecturer on Missouri Family Law topics.
Kace Rodwell is a member of the Cherokee Nation and an attorney with Oklahoma Indian Legal Services. Her concentration is the Indian Child Welfare Act, practicing in State District Courts and Tribal Courts in Oklahoma. She is a graduate of Northeastern State University and Oklahoma City University School of Law.
Hon. Elizabeth Rohrs has served as Associate Circuit Judge in Polk County since 2015, where she is the Family Court Judge. Prior to her election, she was engaged in private practice, served as Bolivar Municipal Judge and adjunct university instructor. She is a graduate of University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law.
Commissioner Rosen was appointed in 1994. She helped to draft the adult abuse statute, and argued its constitutionality. She was often appointed as a GAL. She is a member of AAML.

Dr. Stephanie Tabashneck is a forensic psychologist and attorney. She is a Senior Fellow in Law and Applied Neuroscience at the Center for Law, Brain and Behavior at Harvard Law School. She specializes in Category E child custody evaluations, substance use issues, forensic evaluations, and expert testimony. Dr. Tabashneck is licensed to practice psychology in Massachusetts, North Carolina, and New Hampshire and licensed to practice law in Massachusetts.
Dr. Tabashneck regularly presents regionally and nationally on psychology and law topics, including at events organized by the Federal Judicial Center, the Massachusetts Trial Courts, the New York Office of Attorneys for Children, the American Bar Association, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, and the American Psychiatric Association.

Stuart I. Teicher, Esq. is a professional legal educator who focuses on ethics law and writing instruction. A practicing attorney for over two decades, Stuart’s career is now dedicated to helping fellow attorneys survive the practice of law and thrive in the profession. Mr. Teicher teaches seminars, provides in-house training to law firms and legal departments, provides CLE instruction at law firm client events, and also gives keynote speeches at conventions and association meetings.
Stuart helps attorneys get better at what they do (and enjoy the process) through his entertaining and educational CLE Performances. He speaks, teaches, and writes—Thomson Reuters published his book entitled, Navigating the Legal Ethics of Social Media and Technology.
Mr. Teicher is a Supreme Court appointee to the New Jersey District Ethics Committee where he investigates and prosecutes grievances filed against attorneys. Mr. Teicher is an adjunct professor of law at Georgetown Law where he teaches Professional Responsibility, and he is an adjunct professor at Rutgers University in New Brunswick where he teaches undergraduate writing courses.
Brent Teichman is the Associate Circuit Judge in Johnson County, Missouri, having been elected to that position by voters in 2018. Prior to taking the bench, Judge Teichman was a solo practitioner for 17 years with a general practice focusing mainly on family law and adoptions. He received his Bachelor's Degree in History & Political Science from the University of Central Missouri in 1998; and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri in 2001. Judge Teichman lives in Warrensburg, Missouri, with his wife Molly and their 3 children.
F. Richard Van Pelt is a shareholder of the Law Firm Van Pelt & Van Pelt, P.C. in Springfield, Missouri. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a Diplomate of the American College of Trial Lawyers, and listed in the Best Lawyers in America since 2001.
Angela A. Vorhees was appointed Family Court Commissioner of the 29th Judicial Circuit in January 2019. In 1997, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State University). She graduated from the University of Michigan, School of Law in 2000 and was admitted to the Missouri Bar in September, 2000. While in private practice, Commissioner Vorhees primarily practiced in the areas of family law, juvenile law and child advocacy. She also served as a Family law mediator as well as an adjunct Instructor for Missouri Southern State University. She is a member of the Missouri Bar Association and the Jasper County Bar Association.
Judge Steven Ward was appointed to Associate Circuit Judge for Christian County by Governor Michael Parson in January 2022. Judge Ward is the Family Law judge for Christian County and handles domestic relations matters as well small claims and landlord/tenant cases for the Circuit. Before his appointment, Judge Ward was a partner with Turner, Reid, Duncan, Loomer & Patton, PC, of Springfield, Missouri, and most recently was of counsel with the McAfee & Taft, in its Springfield, Missouri office. Immediately after graduating law school from UMKC in 1994, Judge Ward served as a law clerk for the Honorable Russell G. Clark, District Judge for the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri.
After growing up in small farming community in Central Illinois, Molly attended Southern Illinois University, Carbondale where she graduated cum laude and received her Bachelor of Science and minor in Spanish. Molly then received her Juris Doctor from University of Missouri School of Law in 2014, and then became a licensed attorney after passing the Missouri Bar that same year. While in law school, Molly committed herself to helping families in need by participating in the Family Violence Clinic, which assisted families in the Columbia area with legal representation. She also served as an Editor of the Journal of Environmental and Sustainability Law.
After graduating law school, Molly moved to Hannibal, Missouri where she practiced family law, juvenile law, estate law and further, served as the city prosecutor. In 2017, Molly moved to Springfield, Missouri where she began representing families in their legal matters throughout Greene, Christian, Lawrence, Webster and Polk County. Molly was proud to join the law firm of Pratt & Grisham in 2019 where she handles divorce, custody, guardianship and adoption cases. She also acts as Guardian ad Litem for children involved in family law cases.
As a licensed foster parent, Molly is an advocate for children outside of work as well. She and her husband enjoy spending time serving their Church and community while raising their adorable children.
Hon. Ellen Levy is the St. Louis County Probate Judge. Judge Levy has presided over civil, criminal, domestic, juvenile, equity, and probate matters. She was appointed Circuit Judge in 2008, Associate Circuit Judge in 2002, and Family Commissioner in 1999. Judge Levy received her B.A. and J.D. from Washington University.
Sherrill Roberts is the Family Court Commissioner for the 7th Judicial Circuit, Clay County, Missouri. She was appointed Commissioner in 2005. Prior to her appointment, Commissioner Roberts was in private practice focusing her practice in Family Law.
Commissioner Mark J. Millsap was appointed by the 31st Circuit Court, en Banc, as Family Court Commissioner for Greene County Circuit Court, Family Court Division III, on November 23, 2020, effective February 1, 2021. Prior to taking the bench, Commissioner Millsap was a partner in the Springfield, Missouri law firm of Baird Lightner Millsap, PC., where he practiced family law for over thirty (30) years, in both trial and appellate courts in southwest Missouri.
