Every year, advocates and researchers come together at The Missouri Bar’s Annual Family Law Conference to gain knowledge and improve skills specific to the practice of family law. These video recordings and course materials from the 22nd Annual Family Law Conference include quality CLE programming delivered by our knowledgeable faculty of attorneys, judicial panels, and industry experts. This year’s conference included plenary sessions with recognized experts on topics such as the resist and refuse, opioid crises, lawyer well-being, unconscious bias, and so much more!

Note: This material qualifies for self-study credit only. Pursuant to Regulation 15.04.5, a lawyer may receive up to six hours of self-study credit in a reporting year. Self-study programs do not qualify for GAL Certification, ethics, elimination of bias or Kansas credit.

Hon. Broniec was appointed to the Missouri Court of Appeals in October 2020. Anne Chambers, LCSW serves as the Director of the Missouri Lawyers’ Assistance Program. She has significant experience working with people to address mental health and substance concerns.

21st Judicial Circuit

Jason D. Dodson was appointed circuit judge on January 31, 2020 by Governor Mike Parson. He previously served as an associate circuit judge following his appointment in 2016 by Governor Jeremiah W. "Jay" Nixon.

Presiding Judge Mary Ott appointed Judge Dodson to the position of Administrative Judge of the Family Court of St. Louis County, and his 4-year term began January 1, 2022. The Family Court consists of four Juvenile Divisions and ten Domestic Relations Divisions. It also includes the Domestic Violence Court which the U.S. Department of Justice currently recognizes as a national model to serve as a mentor court. Judge Dodson presides over cases in juvenile court and a domestic violence contempt docket.

Judge Dodson is now in his second term of service on the Missouri Supreme Court's Family Court Committee. He also a member of the Supreme Court's Committee on Access to Family Courts and has been a member of the standing Child Support Guidelines Review Subcommittee for over ten years. He serves of the board of directors for the St. Louis Bar Foundation and belongs to several legal associations including the Missouri Bar, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis ("BAMSL"), the St. Louis County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Judge Dodson received his Bachelor of Arts with honors in philosophy from Bates College in Lewiston, ME, in 1992, and his law degree from Washington University School of Law in 1996, where he received The Order of Barristers and Pro Bono Bronze Medal commendations.

Judge Dodson lives in St. Louis County with his family.

Mary Kay O’Malley has been the director of the Child and Family Services Clinic and clinical professor since 2002. M. Brad Palmore, Ph.D. (candidate), is a family court conflict resolution professional, a mediator, a mediator coach and trainer, and an organizational consultant. Dr. Tabashneck is on the board of directors of the Massachusetts chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, the continuing education committee of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, and a past council member of the American Bar Association, Family Law Section.
