Scotty Allen is General Counsel for the Missouri Veterans Commission in Jefferson City. He also served in the Army and the Air Force on active duty, the reserves and national guard for 27 years. He is a graduate of Southwest Missouri State University and the Washington University School of Law.
Susan L. Amato is a collaborative lawyer and mediator in Clayton. She was named by U.S. News as a “Best Lawyer” for Collaborative Family Law and Family Law Mediation and holds the Martindale Hubbell “AV” Rating. Susan was the founding President of the Collaborative Family Law Association in St. Louis.
Nadine C. Atkinson-Flowers practices in the USA and in Jamaica, in immigration and provid-ing expert testimony on Jamaican law. Melinda J. Bentley serves as Legal Ethics Counsel in Missouri where she provides oral and written informal advisory opinions to attorneys on issues related to the Missouri Rules of Professional Conduct. In that position, she also serves as administrator and counsel to the Advisory Committee of the Supreme Court of Missouri. She began serving in that position in 2012. Prior to that she worked for the Illinois State Bar Association as Assistant Counsel from 2001-03, First Assistant Counsel from 2003-11, and Assistant Director of Legislative Affairs from 2009-11. She is a frequent speaker and author on professional responsibility matters. Ms. Bentley currently serves as a member of the Planning Committee for the American Bar Association (ABA) Center for Professional Responsibility’s National Conference on Professional Responsibility, the Planning Committee for The Missouri Bar Solo and Small Firm Conference, The Missouri Bar’s Special Committee on Remote Public Access to Case.net, and the National Organization of Bar Counsel’s Committees on Amicus, Website, Program, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. She was a board member and officer of the National Organization of Bar Counsel from 2015-2020, including a term as President from 2018-2019, and formerly served on the ABA Standing Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility (2020-2023), Editorial Board of the ABA/BNA Lawyers’ Manual on Professional Conduct as a member (2015-2016) and Chair (2016-2018), as well as a member of the ABA Center for Professional Responsibility Coordinating Council (2016-2018). She is licensed in both Missouri and Illinois, and is a member of The Missouri Bar, Illinois State Bar Association, American Bar Association, National Organization of Bar Counsel, Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, Cole County Bar Association, and Mid-Missouri Women Lawyers’ Association.
Raymond Bolourtchi has achieved national recognition for his expertise in immigration and criminal defense matters. Meagan Zimmer Breeze is a partner at Kramer, Hand, Buchholz & Partney in Jefferson County. Meagan was a GAL in juvenile court and currently serves as GAL, mediator and parent coordinator in family court, as well as practicing family law, personal injury, worker's compensation and social security law.
Martha Brown is a Certified Elder Law Attorney. Her firm, Mitchell, Brown & Associates concentrates on the unique legal needs of the elderly and individuals with disabilities. Judge Sarah A. Castle was appointed by Governor Michael Parson as Circuit Judge of Division 1 on October 20, 2020.
At the time of her appointment, she was serving as Associate Circuit Judge of Division 27, having been appointed by the Governor to the bench on January 29, 2020.
Previously, Judge Castle was served as an Assistant Prosecutor in the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office, a position she had held since 2013. Prior to that, Judge Castle served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office where she assisted in the prosecution of criminal cases specifically related to the illegal possession of firearms.
Judge Castle grew up in Denver, Colorado. She attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she earned a bachelor’s degree in 2006, and a master’s degree in 2008 in Political Science with an emphasis in Civic Leadership and Disability Studies. She obtained a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Law School in 2012.
Anne Chambers, LCSW serves as the Director of the Missouri Lawyers’ Assistance Program. She has significant experience working with people to address mental health and substance concerns.
Ms. Chambers has served as past president of the National Organization of Forensic Social Work, past chair of the National Association of Social Workers Legal Defense Fund Service Board, and past chair of the ABA Commission on Lawyer Assistance Programs Senior Lawyers Committee.
Ms. Chambers received her Master of Social Work degree from Louisiana State University in 1990. She has been licensed in clinical social work in Missouri since 1992. She lives with her family in Columbia.
Focusing her practice on DWI law, Denise Childress has become a sought-after instructor in this field. She has trained officers at both the St. Louis Police Academy and the Missouri State Highway Patrol Academy. She co-founded The Missouri DWI Institute, LLC, with a mission to educate Missouri's lawyers, judges, and law enforcement. She coordinates national DWI defense seminars as part of DUIDLA, training lawyers and judges across the country in places like Denver and Chicago. Denise hung out her own shingle, Childress Legal, in 2019 after working for and then partnering with Carl Ward. She is a trial attorney, representing clients in over 41 Missouri counties. Denise is the immediate past president of the St. Charles County Bar Association, where she remains as en banc-bar liaison and social chair. Morry S. Cole practices primarily in the areas of wrongful death, aviation, products liability, professional negligence, and corporate litigation at Gray, Ritter and Graham in St. Louis. He is a former President of the Missouri Bar (2017-2018) and is an adjunct law professor at Washington University.
Patrick Connaghan is a highly respected legal professional who previously served as the Probate Commissioner and Clerk of the Probate Division for the 22nd Judicial Circuit, which covers the City of St. Louis, from 2007 to 2022. In this role, he was responsible for administering and overseeing probate cases, including the management of trusts, estates, and guardianships, as well as hearing civil commitment cases involving mental health and addiction issues. He brings the deep knowledge and experience gained from his time at the probate court to help clients resolve issues in an effective manner and navigate difficult situations.
Before his appointment as Probate Commissioner, Patrick’s long and distinguished career in public service included 12 years as General Counsel for the St. Louis City Board of Aldermen. There, he was responsible for providing legal advice and representation to the board and its members, as well as drafting legislation and serving as a liaison to the city’s operating departments.
Deborah Daniels served as the probate judge in Boone County for almost 12 years. During that time, she was responsible for a docket on involuntary commitments involving a 32-county "catchment area" for the psychiatric hospital in Columbia. She also has worked on various committees involving the probate court and mental illness, including the Boone County Sheriff's Department. She currently is a senior judge and neutral.
As a former law clerk of both a trial judge and an appellate judge, Brennan spent countless hours in the courtroom, which have given him a unique understanding of both trial practice and the appellate process. Brennan now utilizes this knowledge in his work as an attorney at Langdon and Emison, where he practices law in a variety of areas such as product liability, premises liability, and dram shop liability.
Brennan has received recognition for being a Top 10 Under 40 Attorney for Missouri by the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys (2017), a Top 100 Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyers for Missouri by the National Trial Lawyers (2017, 2019, 2020), Premier Lawyers of America (2019), and a Rising Star by Missouri/Kansas Super Lawyers (2015-2018). Kelly Dillon is an investigative examiner-paralegal for the Missouri Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel where her duties include oversight of the Trust Account Overdraft Notification Program, conducting financial examinations and other investigations. Kelly is a Certified Fraud Examiner and has been with the Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel since 2001.
William Dodson is a sole practitioner in Jefferson County. He serves as a Guardian ad Litem and represents parents and other parties in Juvenile and Family Court proceedings there. Mr. Dodson spends a large portion of his time mediating child custody and other disputes.
Claude E. Ducloux, is an attorney licensed in Texas, Colorado and California who speaks nationally on legal ethics, law office management, and trial-related topics. In 2011, he won the highest statewide award from the State Bar of Texas for lifetime contribution to CLE and has been invited to speak in more than 500 programs in since January 1, 2016. Claude has served as course director and creator of numerous CLE institutes and advanced courses.
Mr. Ducloux has a long legacy of bar service, including being President of the Austin Bar Association, and serving as Chair of almost every major bar-related entity, as well as the Texas Bar Foundation. He is a board-certified civil trial and appellate attorney in Texas.
Whittney Dunn is a professional responsibility attorney providing legal ethics and professional responsibility advice to the attorneys of Barnes & Thornburg LLP, an AmLaw 100 firm. Whittney previously served as Senior Risk Manager at The Bar Plan, where she gave ethics CLEs and provided guidance to insureds on practicing ethically.
Robert Faerber practices in the areas of family law and bankruptcy. He is a member of the Missouri/Illinois Bars, and is licensed in the U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of Missouri and Southern District of Illinois.

Cynthia is a member of Garnholz | Sparks in Clayton. Her practice is focused primarily on family law, including mediation and collaborative divorce. She frequently lectures in the area of family law, has served as Chair of the BAMSL Family Law Section and currently serves on BAMSL’s Board of Governors.
Sarah H. Ginther is a solo practitioner licensed in Missouri and Kansas. She graduated from UMKC School of Law in 2000 and primarily practices in Jackson County. Her emphasis has been in Juvenile Court matters and child permanency. She started her own practice in June of 2017.
Simone Haberstock has been a family law attorney for 30 years and a mediator for 20 years. She acquired a Masters of Law in Dispute Resolution from University of Missouri School of Law in 2013 where she did IRB approved research on a mediation-arbitration process. Since graduating, she has founded a non-profit mediation service, Confluence Missouri, Inc.; served on the Mediation and Parenting Coordination Oversight Committee in St. Louis County Circuit Court; and worked on a number of court-connected ADR and problem-solving court projects across the state. She recently completed an interview research project of Missouri litigants who used mandatory mediation and has assisted in the production of two videos for the public on ADR processes. She has mediated over 400 cases including family, small business, employment, landlord-tenant, and small claims matters. Ms. Haberstock has spoken and presented on a variety mediation and ADR topics, including the decision- making process, at both national and statewide conferences. She also served on the Board of Governors for the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis for 10 years and is the immediate past-president of the Missouri Chapter of Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.

Terry Lawson is the Consumer Program Managing Attorney for LSEM in St. Louis. Tim McCurdy is Of Counsel at the firm. Tim grew up on a farm in Southwest Iowa. After obtaining his law degree from the University of Notre Dame, Tim moved to St. Louis to “watch a few Cardinals games” before returning to Iowa. Tim met his now wife and his plans quickly changed – Tim has called St. Louis home for more than twenty years.
Throughout Tim’s legal career, he has helped clients protect their rights in lawsuits throughout the country. After watching a loved one suffer from Alzheimer’s disease, Tim developed a passion for elder law. Judge Mark D. Pfeiffer was appointed to the Missouri Court of Appeals in 2009, served the Court as its Chief Judge from 2016-18, and still presently serves as one of the eleven judges on the Western District. Prior to joining the Court, Pfeiffer was a partner in a small firm.
Sam Phillips is Deputy Chief Counsel for the Missouri Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel. Sam has served on the Board of Directors of the National Organization of Bar Counsel and was that Board’s liaison to the ABA’s Lawyer Competence Committee.
In addition to attorney discipline and private practice, he has served as Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney and been the Executive Trust Officer for a regional bank.

Scott Pierson is an accomplished criminal defense attorney and partner at Twibell Pierson Criminal Law in Springfield, Missouri. He works closely with non-profits, including SMBA's Clean Slate Clinic, in offering expungement services for indigent clients.
Sara Rittman was an Assistant Attorney General from 2019-2022. She served on the office's Professional Responsibility Committee as well as serving in leadership roles in the Governmental Affairs and Litigation Divisions. She practiced legal ethics and attorney discipline law from 1993-2019, including private practice, as Missouri's first Legal Ethics Counsel, and at OCDC. She was also previously an AAG from 1981-1993. She received her JD from UMKC in 1981.
Judge David Roither is an Associate Circuit Judge in the 22nd Judicial Circuit of the State of Missouri. Judge Roither has been a member of the Missouri Bar since 1999 and was in a litigation practice with his former partner the Honorable Jeffrey Medler from December, 2000, through January, 2018.
Richard L. Rollings, Jr. provides contract legal work to other attorneys. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law, cum laude, in 1992. He was a 2002 recipient of the David J. Dixon Appellate Advocacy Award. His practice includes appellate work as well as research and drafting services.
Christine Rosengreen practices in all areas of family law, including but not limited to, divorce, paternity, modification, guardianship, Guardian ad Litem and adoption. She earned her bachelor of arts degree in English from Kansas State University, and earned her juris doctorate in 2006 from the University of Kansas School of Law.

Amanda Schneider is the Managing Attorney of Legal Services of Eastern Missouri’s Education Justice Program which focuses on addressing education equity issues. Ms. Schneider was previously the first William G. Guerri Chair in the Children’s Legal Alliance, practicing education law primarily representing children with disabilities and children excluded from school.
Michael Sharma-Crawford is a principal in Sharma-Crawford Attorneys at Law. He has been defending non-citizens in removal proceedings since 2002. In 2011 he and his partner Rekha Sharma-Crawford opened The Clinic, a 501(c)(3) non-profit law clinic that provides representation to indigent non-citizens in the Kansas City Immigration Court.
Fawzy Simon graduated from UMKC Law in 2008 (Go Roos!). He's a five-year vet of the Public Defender, spent five years working for a firm and has been a solo for five years. Christian A. Stiegemeyer is the Director of Risk Management for The Bar Plan Mutual Insurance Company where he helps lawyers arrive at practical solutions to a wide variety of ethical and legal malpractice issues. He received his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law.
H. Morley Swingle, is an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Boone County, Missouri. He previously served as the Prosecuting Attorney for Cape Girardeau County, as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri, as a criminal defense lawyer in Denver, and as a prosecutor in the Armed Offender Unit of the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office. He has tried 178 jury trials and has personally handled 111 homicide cases, including several death penalty cases. He has taught at continuing legal education seminars around the country. He has published several books, both fiction and nonfiction, and is a member of Mystery Writers of America.
Michelle M. Symank is a Member at Evans & Dixon, LLC in the St. Louis office. She exclusively represents Employers and Insurers in the defense of workers' compensation claims before the Division of Workers' Compensation in St. Louis, St. Charles, Cape Girardeau and Jefferson City.
Sarah E. (Shay) Tomlinson is a litigation associate with Summers Compton Wells. Shay concentrates her practice on business litigation including employment matters, restructuring, bankruptcy, and government compliance.
Shay earned her law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law. Following graduation, Shay served as a judicial law clerk in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Missouri and served as a Trial Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice. She is a contributing author to the ABI Journal and The Wyoming Lawyer.
Mike grew up in the St. Louis area and attended Central Methodist University earning a B.A. in Political Science. Upon graduation from college, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served 13 months in Vietnam. Mike then returned home, attended law school, and received his J.D. from the University of Missouri at Columbia. His former military experience afforded him the opportunity to return to the U.S. Army and serve in the J.A.G. Corps as a defense attorney and Summary Court Military Judge while stationed in Savannah, Georgia.
In 1976, Mike established his own law firm in Chillicothe, Missouri and remained there for 27 years. During that time, he gained experience in the areas of family law, criminal defense, bankruptcy, probate, real estate, farm and agricultural matters and served as city attorney.
In 2003, Mike and Marilyn returned to the St. Louis area in order to care for aging parents. He opened his office in O’Fallon and currently practices in the areas of family law, estate planning, real estate, small business law and offers his clients flat fee billing.
Mike has spoken for Missouri Bar Practical Skills Courses; Solo and Small Firm Conference; National Business Institute; University of Missouri Law School at Columbia for Practical Management. He is a Certified Family Law Mediator and a member of Missouri Bar and the St. Charles County Bar Association. Watkins Law Firm has been voted #1 law firm in St. Charles County for 2010, 2011 and 2013.

Judith Westmoreland is a Supervising Attorney at Jackson County CASA in Kansas City, MO where she oversees the newly created CASA Pro Bono Attorney Program, training and supporting attorneys as Guardians ad Litem for children in foster care. She serves on the board of AWL-KC and is active with the KCMBA.
J.C. Weyand is the longtime State's Attorney & Chief Juvenile Officer for the 10th Judicial Circuit, handling all child abuse / neglect and juvenile cases for Marion, Ralls, and Monroe Counties. Weyand is also Professor at Hannibal-LaGrange University. He has been a featured presenter at MOSOLO every year since 2019.
Ron Wiesenthal is the owner of the St Louis Mediation & Arbitration Center, LLC. He has all the usual degrees and awards but is most proud of being called Lord Vader by his grandchildren.
Robert J. Wise has practiced law in Missouri since 1975 when he graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia Law School. He specializes in representing rental property owners and managers. He is a frequent speaker to property owners and attorneys on landlord-tenant law, collections, Fair Housing, and related areas and has spoken to Solo & Small firm regarding operating a law office from home. From 1999-2003 he was the executive director of the Missouri Apartment Association. He also currently serves as the executive director of Mid-America Crime Free which educates landlords and managers about crime prevention in rental housing.
Hon. Gary Witt was appointed to the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District, in 2010. He was elected as chief judge for a two year term that began July 1, 2022. He received the Appellate Judicial Excellence Award in 2020. He was previously an associate circuit judge in Platte County from 1998 - 2010.
Before his judicial service, Judge Witt served as a state representative from 1991-1996. He was a shareholder with Witt, Hicklin & Witt, PC in Platte City.
Judge Witt earned his undergraduate degree from William Jewell College and his Juris Doctor from University of Missouri-Columbia.
